Motorola is reportedly working on a new generation of Razr.

So let’s take a recap of what Razr actually is, Razr was one of the popular flip phones of its time. It made Motorola a ton of revenue and it was Motorola’s peak success after the Dynamite’ . So as of today, by emergence of foldable screens, Motorola felt that it needs to revive the Razr by a smartphone whose screen can be folded into half and be the traditional flip phone shape, so Motorola introduced the 2nd gen of the Motorola Razr in 2019 but as of the device itself, it was pretty decent according to the build designs except one thing, and that was its plastic screen though it looked fine when glancing at it but it felt horrible under the thumb, bumps and ridges were everywhere and screen was covered with a very thin plastic so it just bent and flexed when you touched it and let me tell you’ that ain’t a good feeling in any  way, shape or form. Besides that, Motorola failed to put a high end flagship chip like Snapdragon’s latest SOC in the model that resulted in a mid-range performance for a Premium price tag.

Another problem was the hinge and let me tell you, it was uh- bad. Saying the hinge is one of the worst in its competition would be an understatement. You could really hear the creaking and frictional sound of the hinge when opening and closing it, that’s how cheap and bad the hinge actually was and the last nail to this coffin was the $1500 price tag, paying that and ending up with a cheap feeling mid-range performing phone didn’t help Motorola and the flip just flopped quite literally. Now enough talking bad about the 2nd generation Razr, new rumors and reports are saying that Motorola might be working on a 3rd generation Razr and I will be telling you all about it!

According to the Weibo post spotted by Android Authority, the post was from Chen Jin, the manager of Lenovo(Motorola is currently under Lenovo). Jin’s post was translated in English though some words didn’t translate properly but we have an idea of what the product will feature.It added 5G, a better processor,  a better camera , a better screen and a better build quality. So lets just hope that this time’s the charm.
